About

Big enough to cope, small enough to care
This has been my motto since my early days as a financial adviser in the late 80’s. Back then I was often in competition with larger advice firms to secure company pension schemes.
When I was asked why should they instruct me instead of the better known XYZ firm, my answer was always the same. “Mr Client, I’m sure XYZ are very capable of advising on your pension BUT as a large national firm, you’ll be just another number to them. If you instruct me, you’ll become a very important client to me and I’ll handle your ongoing requirements personally”.

This did not always lead to securing the business of course but often it did. This taught me that while clients want to know you’re up to the job, they also need to be assured that you CARE.
This has stood me in good stead throughout my 30-year plus career. I look at each client, whether young or old, male or female, as if I am them. Once I have analysed their situation, goals and priorities, I look to become them for the advice process. My mindset is what would I recommend to myself if I were them.
Being married with three school age children, ensures both my business and personal life remain active but equally rewarding.
A very personal client service
I offer a comprehensive planning service to identify and advise suitable bespoke solutions to meet your objectives, both now and throughout life.
I provide advice face to face at a mutually convenient time and location. Alternatively, if preferred, I can provide remote access via Zoom or Teams.
Prior to committing to work together, our initial meeting is held free of cost to you. If instructed, my service fees are agreed with you at the outset and my advice is given in clear and understandable language.
My focus is to provide you with solutions using a criterion of:
Low cost – why pay higher fees unless there is a value add?
Diversified asset allocation – don’t put your eggs all in one basket!
Risk rated – why take more risk than you are comfortable with?
Performance – how have your funds grown relative to their peer group
All fees agreed on a fixed fee basis, providing you with clarity and transparency. My overriding objective is to provide you with financial peace of mind.
