Lets Talk Tech!

Let's talk Technology and not AI!
I am talking about running your own small business and the kind of technology needed for someone operational in a modern, fast-paced world, where customers expect instant and immediate answers or responses.
The days of paper trails and wet ink are fast disappearing. When you can scan a cheque as payment, tap your phone or even your watch, getting something in the post almost feels ancient.
Yet so many of the processes in financial and legal institutions have been established since the beginning of those systems and are no longer fit for purpose.
I remember being told that one day you would watch TV on demand, on any device anywhere in the world, it was something out of my comprehension. Yet here we are in 2024, in a media-fluid space where we can watch anything, anytime and anywhere.
As part of the move to running my own business, essential investments have been needed to ensure I can keep my IT services at an optimal level for myself and my clients. For the first time I have personally had to source the services of an IT support company. I chose to work with Atmosphere IT as they came recommended to me. I have been with them a month or so now and they have been responsive to any request, no matter how simple or technical. Long may that continue!
I have had the opportunity to have my own website for some time now and appreciate the importance of keeping that updated and regularly post reviews and blogs. Also, if a client asks me something new that I think will be helpful to others, I add it to the FAQ’s.
I have also been able to utilize other opportunities that maybe I am a little late to the party with, like DocuSign. I have actually opted for Adobe Sign, which is working well, and all of my clients seem to have adapted well to my new system of collecting signatures. With the majority of my clients being over 55, I was worried some may have an issue with this, especially with the issue of cyber security and scams. Again, this concern has been unfounded. My clients and I can also access a secure client portal for exchanging documents, which often contain personal information.
I am excited to review other new tech options and see how they can benefit my clients and my business moving forward
