Big enough to cope, small enough to care

I’m still feeing on a bit of a high from Adviser Edge 2026!
Last week, I had the pleasure of attending the #AdviserEdge conference, hosted by the talented team at Fundment. Most of these conferences will have one or two exceptional speakers but I truly cannot recall an event with some many quality speakers, one after the other. Top job Fundment! The venue excelled too. The stunning Outernet on Charing Cross Road in the heart of the West End.
The day kicked off with none other than Prof Brian Cox. What an incredible human being! His sheer depth of knowledge filled the room and left us all ignited for the day ahead. It was the perfect perspective-shift to start a morning of high-level thinking.

While the entire day was packed with value, two other headliners really stood out for me:
Rachel Botsman: Her talk on the "Trust Leap" was profoundly resonant. The concept of moving clients from a place of fear to financial freedom is exactly what we should be striving for every day in our profession.
Daniel Priestley: Daniel closed the event with a brilliant session on personal branding. I was lucky enough to grab a copy of his book, "Key Person of Influence." I’ve always worked hard to keep my own branding in line with these theories, and Daniel provided so many fresh takeaways to help refine that further.
It was also fantastic to hear once again from Samantha Russell and David Swanwick, both of whom always deliver sharp, actionable insights.

Beyond the stage, one of the best parts of these events is the community. It was good to bump into 50% of the TRAP team—Alan Smith and Nick Lincoln. Andy Hart was there too but managed to evade my engagement. Does he not know I am a HUM subscriber! 😊 It was the perfect reminder that I need to get my tickets booked for their TRAPLIVE London event again this year!
Huge thanks to Thomas Browne, Adrian Denton and the wider Fundment team for such an inspiring day. I headed back to my home office in Tunbridge Wells with a full notebook and renewed momentum.
