Client feedback has become essential to all businesses.

It's been a busy few weeks and a bit of a learning curve, moving my clients to Advice2U and getting up to speed with new technology processes. However, I can already see the time advantages of further utilising technology in the advice process. 

 

Client feedback has become essential to all businesses. If you are a hotel or restaurant owner, TripAdvisor has become the place to promote your business and your reviews there are your lifeblood. I know that my wife won't book a restaurant without checking that platform first. She is happy to accept the odd poor review but will often look elsewhere to confirm she's making the right choice. 

 

Reviews are also one of the biggest triggers for the algorithms. I know when I talk to people in the trades, the majority use online platforms and make reviews part and parcel of where they appear in the rankings. I am usually asked by a tradesperson for a review after any work has been carried out. It feels like they are more adept at that part of their marketing, but they understand how essential it is to get that customer feedback to keep them on that first page of results. 

 

Saying that I quite often get a Checkatrade leaflet through my door, so even these digital spaces still understand the power of print and getting that printed material into potential customers' homes. 

 

Most in the financial sector will know that VouchedFor are one of the main platforms that advisers tend to associate with. They will occasionally have a supplement in various national newspapers or Sundays, highlighting top-rated advisers in the UK, based on client reviews. 

 

As an IFA, getting into this printed version will help my exposure, especially locally. Today, I have been down to the newsagents and picked up a copy of the Telegraph, just to check I am there under Royal Tunbridge Wells as one of the top-rated advisers in the area.
